Cheaper materials are being used. Very disappointed in the drop in quality.

We understand it can be frustrating when a familiar product feels different, but we want to assure you that this change was actually an upgrade to improve longevity, not a switch to cheaper materials. Over the years, we have continually re-tooled this component—moving from ABS, to Tritan, and now to POM. While POM might have a different tactile feel, it is a highly resilient material that makes the newest versions significantly more durable than when we first launched. We made this change specifically to ensure the product lasts you as long as possible.

Works great until the delicate parts inevitably crack. Please make a stainless steel version. On a premium product like subminimal, real durability matters more than keeping the spare cheap.
