SAFE FOR LIQUIDS
Go ahead and pull a shot of espresso right in the Subscale if you wish. It's a cup after all, so it will safely hold your precious liquid.
The cup is made of Tritan and rated to support liquids up to 100°C for two hours.
IPX-4 Splash Resistant
You can safely wash the Subscale under running water but do not submerge it.

Nice as a simple dose scale but need to be careful with cleaning and cannot be used also as a milk pitcher for frothing. rather have the weight display on the outside and a stainless interior. Significant interface issue is often just picking the scale up shifts the units from grams to ounces. Would much prefer locking the units behind a much more difficult setting process. Simple button presses should always only turn the unit on or off, nothing more. Perhaps holding the button for 5 seconds to enter setting mode. Hopefully this can get firmware updates otherwise its just sitting in my closet.

Beautiful design and execution. It’s remarkable how this design reduces friction in the espresso making workflow. The hidden display is a constant delight when it lights up. The ON/Tare/Function button is perfectly placed to activate and tare in a simple motion. The lip is shaped such that beans pour easily into a manual grinder. You didn’t know you needed this until you get one. Highly recommended.
