FINE-TUNING
Lower the impeller for tiny drinks and raise it for milk alternatives, or adjusts it to find the perfect quiet balance in the vortex.
FINER MICROFOAM
The aeration times on programs 1 & 2 have been reduced to help make even finer foam on smaller drinks.
PROGRAM IMPROVEMENTS
The new programs slows down over time to prevent momentum buildup, leading to more consistenly fine foam.

Reengineered to IPX-5 standards for greater convenience, and peace of mind when cleaning.
HOTTER DRINKS
The final temperature has been raised by 5°C to 70° (155°F) for those who like a hotter drink. (+/-3°)

A thicker wraparound heat diffuser gently warms the milk to minimizes hot spots and scalding.

Tolerance improvements and little grooves make removing the NanoScreen easier for cleaning.

ULTRAFINE TUNING
The revolutionary new impeller height adjuster raises or lowers the impeller by 0.4mm with each click.
Adjust the impeller at any time to tweak the vortex and find the perfect quiet magnetic balance.
Lowering the impeller on small drinks also helps subdue the microfoaming while raising it can help with challenging milk alternatives.
The adjustments are minor, yet perceptible for those seeking perfection.
EASY CLEANING
The GEN-2 using a new type of fully sealed Strix brand kettle connector. Combined with upgraded seal engineering, the NanoFoamer PRO Gen-2 is now IPX-5 splash resistent, allowing it to be freely cleaned under running water without risk of damage.
Combined with our new thicker heat diffuser that minimizes milk residue, these two improvements make cleaning effortless.

We’ve had two NanoFoamers and a NanoFoamer PRO for foaming vegan milks — and in terms of performance, they were flawless. Five stars for the foam quality. Five stars for the aesthetics too.
The downside? Cleaning. The first NanoFoamer got wet during washing and simply died. On the second, PRO, the fine mesh started trapping tiny black particles (likely matcha) that I simply couldn’t remove — even after soaking in hot water and running it through the dishwasher. In the process of trying to clean it, I accidentally broke the part with the mesh off.
Now we’ve switched to Subminimal’s hand foamer, which must have a slightly larger mesh, because so far nothing has gotten stuck. It’s great in the summer when you don’t need your milk heated up. Not sure what I will do when we’re back to warm milk.

I have used this product for a good 7 months now. I use it exclusively, putting my steam wand to collect dust. As a home brewer, its all i ever wanted. Maybe i will train manual frothing in the future. I just wanted a good cup of latte.
When i change milk brand, milk base, its just a matter of quickly figuring out which flow controller to use (after getting a feel for each). The foam level can also be adapted quickly once you’re experienced enough. Overall i would recommend this to anyone.
I gave it a 4 star because i wanted to highlight the quality of the cleaning brush could be improved. Perhaps subminimal can release a fine plastic bristle can will not wear out quickly, and the handle can have an etching “subminimal” that would be nice.

The foam is really, really good and it’s very easy to make latte art with it. The only thing that sometimes happened was that (presumably) the impeller made a loud rattling noise and the device didn’t do anything. I’m not sure what caused this, but I haven’t had that happen in a month. Maybe the flow controller was misaligned and clashed with the impeller or something since everything else was snug. But that doesn’t take anything away from the quality of the foam and the product in general!

Thanks for your review. If you ever hear that sound, it means the impeller has lost its magnetic traction. To remedy this, check that the lid is pressed correctly on or turn the knob clockwise one or two clicks to lower the impeller closer to the magnets below.

The NanoFoamer Pro GEN-2 has seriously stepped up from the first version. The new design is much more consistent in producing silky, café-style microfoam. I get beautifully textured milk in under two minutes with minimal effort.
If you use plant-based milk, pick your brand carefully. Some oat milks foam much better than others with the NanoFoamer Pro—look for “barista edition” types. Once you find a brand that works well, the texture rivals dairy milk.
