SAFE FOR LIQUIDS
Go ahead and pull a shot of espresso right in the Subscale if you wish. It's a cup after all, so it will safely hold your precious liquid.
The cup is made of Tritan and rated to support liquids up to 100°C for two hours.
IPX-4 Splash Resistant
You can safely wash the Subscale under running water but do not submerge it.

The Single control button is touchy to control.
First it is hard to find. Aesthetics above User Interface. The Button disappears on the cylinder. Same color, same texture, well made so a small gap. Once found it turns on fine. Then the problems begin. It will many times have a weight displayed, even empty.Sometimes a touch will tare , sometimes not. Sometimes it will change to Ozs. A double touch should change back, but no. A few attempts then back to grams. Weigh the beans pour into a container. You want to repeat, but it has turned off because the default on time is very short. Start again, where is the on button. Oh crap it went to Ozs again.......

I initially was not sure, the scale will be useful. Now I use it exclusively for measuring beans and loading the grinder. It is perfect for both and I do not need to reset and adjust the main scale I use for making the espresso. I was surprised how it streamlined the work flow. It is fast and works flawlesly and my daughter loves the display on the inside of the cup!
